In response to a growing interest in Catalan sparkling wine, Hotel Arts Barcelona will introduce an exclusive Cava Circuit through the Penedès Region. Taking advantage of the harvest season, the experience organized by the hotel, in collaboration with the company Cava Emotions, will introduce guests to multiple wineries, giving them the opportunity to create their own cava, and experience the harvest process from start to finish.
The experience begins with an exclusive tour of the renowned vineyards of Mas Comtal, known for their organic viticulture. Their cava and wines are offered in prestigious restaurants such as El Celler de Can Roca and two Michelin starred Enoteca Restaurant at Hotel Arts.
After touring the vineyards, guests may participate in the collection and pressing of grapes, to learn the ancient technique. Following the instructions of a guide, participants will trim and prune the vines, then harvest grapes. From there, they’ll fill a vat with the collected fruits, pressing them to extract the "must", a mixture of squished skins, seeds, and pulp. The must will then be fermented, resulting in sparkling wine. Thus, guests will have experienced the creation of cava from start to finish.
To make the experience unforgettable, once the cava they've harvested and pressed has aged, each guest will receive six bottles with a custom label, which may include the signature of the winemaker + oenologist, for a lifetime keepsake. This will be followed by a winery visit, for an exclusive tasting of a selection of cavas from the vineyard where they harvested earlier in the day. Appetizers with a Hotel Arts sommelier will accompany the tasting.
Additional stops on the circuit will include: Cava Guilera which is leading the way in Enotourism initiatives, Finca Ca N’Estella with it's historical wine presses and "Masia" (country house) from 1789, and Llopart Cava vineyards, an estate passed down through the generations from 1385. Llopart Cava offers "Original Gran Reserva 1887" to package participants from Hotel Arts Barcelona, from their first cava vintage ever produced.
As the external tour concludes, the region's history having seeped into both the heart and bloodstreams of the visitors, a return to 2 Michelin starred Enoteca restaurant will reveal a special seafood menu by 5 Michelin starred chef Paco Pérez, paired with cava selections from the vineyards visited.
The cellar at Enoteca restaurant contains approximately 500 wines and cavas. Thanks to the newly introduced, high-tech Coravin system, tasting the most expensive or aged bottles is possible for guests with a taste for luxury. The system pierces the cork with a fine needle, without opening or spoiling the whole bottle for a sip, then the cork expands and seals the small incision.

One of Barcelona’s most beloved summer hot-spots, the informal restaurant is situated within the hotel’s spectacular gardens and is famed for its panoramic views of The Mediterranean and buzzing beach-side atmosphere. Kicking off the summer season in style Marina will reopen with a creative new menu inspired by international coastlines.
Executive Chef Antonio Saez has carefully created fresh, fun and straight-from-the-sea dishes inspired by coastlines around the world. Marina’s menu travels from Mexico, with Lobster Tacos topped with mango, lime and coriander, to Peru where salmon, tamarind and tuna ceviche offer guests a fresh and exciting way to enjoy Barcelona’s excellent supply of the freshest fish. From South America, Marina’s inspiration jumps across continents to the Mediterranean, with grilled octopus and pan-fried clams served up in ‘Boxes & Buckets’ that are perfect for sharing. Finally, its influence draws from Asia, where woks of succulent beef tenderloin meet stir-fried shitake mushrooms, and wakame salad is topped with trout caviar and delicious Blue Fin tuna.
Adding a splash of glamour, the signature Mixed Grill of calamari, scallops, razor clams, lobster and cockles and Cold Platter dish of oysters, king crab, shrimps and mussels are served up with Champagne Laurent Perrier and are the ideal choice for those looking to indulge. To celebrate Barcelona’s recent appointment as a UNESCO City of Literature, Hotel Arts Barcelona will launch a new Literature Lovers Package on the city’s most romantic day of the year, Sant Jordi in April – a day when Catalan traditions see men give roses and women give books.

To celebrate this accolade, Hotel Arts Barcelona is putting together a special Literature Lovers Package – running from April 23rd until 23rd August 2016. Offering guests candlelit canapés and champagne between stacks of Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes and other iconic authors at the hotel’s Seasonal Club Lounge Library, there will also be cocktails inspired by literature at hotel’s buzzing Frank’s Bar.
Sant Jordi: The romantic tradition of book giving
The catalan incarnation of St George, Sant Jordi has been the region’s patron saint since the 1600s, and continues to hold a particular affiliation with the conventions of courtly love. The 23rd April sees Barcelona’s colorful squares and streets filled with artisanal book vendors, poetry readings and flower stalls selling roses so that men may give women roses, and women may give men books, as is tradition on this day. On Sant Jordi itself, guests at the hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant Arola will receive complimentary roses and books with their dinner.
Literature Lovers Package on Sant Jordi Day, 23rd April set to run until August. The package costs from €835 for two people and includes access to the new 'Club Lounge Library’ with complimentary canapes and champagne, two nights accommodation, and cocktails at Franks Bar for two. Hotel Arts Barcelona will open a temporary restaurant, Gastro 7, from February 22nd to 25th, 2016, at the Mobile World Congress. Internationally known for his culinary creations, Michelin award-winning chef Antonio Saez will be one of a select group serving Catalan cuisine at the largest mobile networking conference in the world, held at Fira Gran Via center.
Gastro 7 by Arts Catering will feature gourmet creations by Michelin starred, Spanish chef Antonio Saez, who honed his culinary skills under three Michelin starred chef Martin Berasategui. In addition, he trained at and contributed to the awarding of Michelin stars to restaurants in San Sebastian and Abu Dhabi, before being appointed the Executive Chef at Hotel Arts in 2014.
Attendees of the conference can enjoy refined cuisine at Gastro 7 throughout the day, beginning with breakfast. From 11am onwards, tapa entrees will be served, featuring traditional Catalan ingredients like Iberian ham and manchego cheese. Technically impressive main entrees include a roasted eggplant with a black truffle emulsion, amongst others. Festive Flower Design – Donna Stain decks the halls
Staying true to form as a leader in design, Hotel Arts Barcelona is working with acclaimed Australian floral designer Donna Stain who will design a spectacular ‘Christmas forest’ giving guests the chance to journey through a series of artistic totems made up of mirrors, twinkling lights and beautifully decorated glass sculptures. Thanks to the use of natural pine and holly berries the forest will radiate a wonderful Christmas aroma. Attracting visitors to enter and explore, the installation will be full of light and reflection and has been created to encourage feelings of joy, happiness and optimism that are associated with the festive season. Guests looking for inspiration for their own homes can join a festive floral workshop with Donna Stain on the 12th December 2015.
Enoteca, Arola and Café Veranda – A Christmas menu for every mood
At two Michelin starred restaurant Enoteca, Chef Paco Pérez will elaborate a fine-dining festive menu to combine traditional ingredients with his own avant-garde techniques. Served from the 24th – 26th December 2015, a six-course menu will include a number of bite-sized Christmas snacks to start, followed by four creative Christmas courses including Pumpkin Cream with Cheese and Caviar, Scallop with Artichoke, Truffled Sole Meunière with Wild Mushroom Muille Feuille and Christmas Poulard Chicken.
At Arola, Chef Sergi Arola uses imaginative reinterpretations of traditional tapas dishes for a more casual Christmas menu, which includes five Mediterranean appetizers such as Stewed Ox Tail Ravioli with Foie Gras ‘Arola Style’ Spanish Omlette. To follow, there is Truffled Christmas Cannelloni and ‘Escudella’, a traditional Catalan casserole. The menu is finished with local Christmas traditions including the ‘Tió de Nadal’ and other gastronomic ‘Christmas Suprises’.
Those looking to treat themselves on Christmas morning can visit Café Veranda for a blowout brunch, served until 3.30pm. The informal restaurant will serve a host of dishes inspired by the Boqueria market place (including Scallop & Sea Urchin Ingot and Fresh Burrata & Tomato Salad), by Christmas tradition (Pumpkin & Orange Soup) and by the sea (Galacian Oysters, Langoustine, prawns, rock snails, lobster and mussels).
007 in Barcelona – New Year’s Eve Celebrations Hotel Arts Barcelona will host one of the Europe’s most glamorous New Year’s celebrations in its staggering Gaudí Ballroom – this year inspired by secret agent 007. Guests will experience a red carpet photo-call arrival, followed by a Lauren Perrier Champagne reception and Ice Bar serving Dry Martinis, shaken not stirred, whilst iconic secret agent film sequences are displayed on screen. There will be show cooking with oyster, truffle, tuna and Iberian ham stations and an epic Gala Dinner created by chef Antonio Sáez. Another highlight of the Gala Dinner event will be 007-inspired music played by live orchestra. Guests will be given chips to try their luck at a Poker table and can then party the night away to one of Barcelona’s best DJ’s.
Those not attending the Gala Dinner can enjoy cocktails and special menus at Enoteca and Arola along with access to the after party in the Gaudí Ballroom so that they can dance the night away in style. The delights of Enoteca will be moved to the ‘Arts 41’ space giving impressive views over the Mediterranean Sea. A seven-course menu will commence with appetizers such as Quail Egg in Tempura with Sea Urchin and Smoked Eel and Apple Sandwich followed by dishes including Cauliflower Caviar with Gold Selection Oscietra Caviar and Truffled Gnocchi with Egg Yolk and Blue Lobster. The Arola New Year’s Eve Menu sees out 2015 with 5 appetizer including ‘Chicharrón Iberian pork crackling with honey and red fruits and Crispy Cuttlefish Rice with Creamy Roasted Garlic. These are followed by three exquisite dishes Jerusalem Artichoke Cream with Wild Mushrooms, Quail Egg and Truffle, Low Temperature Sole with Cavier and Lamb with Apple, Payoyo Cheese and Winter Truffle, and topped off with a Happy New Year Truffled Egg.

Hotel Arts Barcelona is preparing to welcome the hotly anticipated truffle season by launching two new menus created by Chef Paco Pérez at the hotel’s acclaimed two Michelin-starred restaurant Enoteca. Available throughout November the lead menu contains truffle in every course, whilst a paired down, less intense version is also available. Sommelier Joao País has utilised the restaurant’s impressive wine cellar to create a dedicated wine paring which will compliment this extremely special seasonal menu.
The highly prized truffles used in each dish are sourced from Alba in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, one of the most celebrated gastronomic regions in Europe. Harvested underground below oak trees, the truffles are gathered in October and November only, making them the most valuable ingredient on the market at this time of year.
Ingredients used by Pérez throughout the menu have been carefully selected because they bring out the essence of the truffle in a particularly special way. Locally sourced ingredients and fresh Mediterranean produce also inspire dishes.
Highlights include a selection of clever combinations for a Truffle Tapas course, delicacies such as Oyster, Truffle Cream and Spices, Egg with Ham Parmentier, Urchins & Truffle and Wagyu with Mushrooms, Potatoes & Truffles and imaginative creations such as Guinea Fowl with Crayfish, Mushroom & Truffle. Truffled Brie and a dessert of White Chocolate, Yoghurt, Milk Curd, Quince and Truffle ensure the essence of this seasonal speciality is present throughout.

Hotel Arts Barcelona has put the finishing touches on the iLounge, an innovative work space created in collaboration with Apple, which reinvents the classic concept of a Business Center, offering a new experience with comfort and the latest technology.
The new iLounge has an open space equipped with the latest advances in technology and computers, focused on an efficient and convenient use of services for companies and for guests.
Moreover, the new iLounge is close to the meeting and conference rooms, which also incorporate new devices and updated features.
The refurbishment in both areas has been configured with a team of Apple consultants, providing guests with the necessary equipment to work from the room with guaranteed security and data protection. In turn, the equipment has been adapted to facilitate use by those who regularly use other operating systems.

Arola’s nights open the season with the outstanding live music from the Chef and his band, Joerey.
From the June 25th Sergi Arola´s compositions and his brother Natxo´s arrangements, both components of the Joerey band, will formally open the summer season on Hotel Arts’ magical terrace, an evening of live music overlooking the Mediterranean.
A Menu of classic tapas such as the Delta del Ebre oysters, the Buñuelos de Bacalao or the famous Arola’s bravas; accompanied by a unique selection of cocktails and Gin & Tonics with Arts’ personal stamp, lead by the creative barman, Diego Baud.
After the opening concert with an amazing style and theme, the funk and soul tracks of Sugar Drops band will follow starting on Thursday. An eclectic musical background that will set the pace from ten to midnight.
Joerey is a band founded in 2013 by Sergi Arola and his brother, Natxo Arola, who has an extensive musical background in various local bands. The songs and compositions are by Sergi Arola and the arrangements by Natxo Arola.

The privileged views of the first tier of the grandstand of the stadium, and a gastronomic catering of the Hotel Arts Barcelona are completely new experiences for gastronomy lovers, situated in a groundbreaking space.
In Its second year, the Club offers this experience that as a novelty in this edition, will present a new and sophisticated gastronomical proposal by Antonio Saez. Furthermore, unlike last year, the Camp Nou Lounge expands its timetable and will remain open on Thursday at lunch time.
During the day, the traditional appetizers are a large variety of tapas that can be shared between various people and a selection of main courses that are addressed for the whole family make this experience a unique one. At sunset, the Camp Nou Lounge will turn into a more sophisticated space, with a more delicate offer: the Arts Experience.
In this edition, it will not be necessary to visit the Camp Nou Tour Experience. The reservations will be able to be done through their website, even though a minimum consumption will be required
Furthermore, Hotel Arts Barcelona will offer a special experience that includes an optional accommodation in a deluxe room, as well as the transfer to the stadium, and the tasting menu in the restaurant with an exclusive view overlooking the entire stadium.

The foundation Make-A-Wish-Spain has the objective to work in order to try and make true the wishes of children that have severe illnesses.
This activity adds up to other initiatives of social character that are carried out by Hotel Arts Barcelona, like for example the recent collaborations with the Surf and Help Association or its support towards UNICEF, who has given Hotel Arts the Certification of Friendly Hotel
From its beginnings, Hotel Arts Barcelona has demonstrated a clear compromise within its surroundings, participating in various activities which involve Social Responsibility, not only locally but at the same time internationally.
That is why, for a second consecutive year, Hotel Arts Barcelona has wanted to support the Make-A-Wish-Spain foundation, which helps children with severe illnesses to make their dreams come true, by participating in the last edition of the Barcelona’s Garmin triathlon celebrated the 21st of June 2015. None the less it has created a solidary challenge in their online platform http://www.migranodearena.org/ that has as an objective, to raise funds in order to be able to make these children’s dreams come true. Like for example for Jaume whose dream is to assist to the US Tennis Open.
Collaborations with the Surf and Help Association
The partnership with the Surf and Help Association is one of the last initiatives that the Barcelonian Hotel has promoted in the frame of their proposal for sustainability and compromise within their close surroundings.
Particularly, it has designed an accommodation package specially thought for incentive trips that consists on a formation route about the Marine Ecosystem where the group of volunteers from the Surfrider Foundation are in charge; a Masterclass in “padel”, as well as the cleaning of residues and previous analysis of the levels of contamination.

Hotel Arts Barcelona is offering sophisticated brides-to-be and her bridesmaids, friends or relatives the ultimate luxury Mediterranean getaway. This exclusive pre-wedding bridal experience includes a bridal flowers masterclass, luxury spa treatments and cocktails to suit all ladies.
The pre-wedding bridal experience starts with a personalised bridal flowers masterclass with one of the world’s top luxury hotel florists, Donna Stain. Originally from Australia, Donna has worked with leading British florist Jane Packer and published ‘Floral Design Ideas’, and ‘A Bouquet of Colors’. The group learns how to create flowers for the big day from bouquets to table centres, boutonnières and hair pieces, or personalized flower-themed gifts for the wedding guests.
Following the bridal flowers masterclass, the bride and her guests can relax in the Barcelona hotel’s luxury spa. Situated on the 43rd floor of the hotel, 43 The Spa is named after its prime location, which offers guests spectacular panoramic views of the coastline. Hotel Arts Barcelona launches Picasso vs. Dalí experience in celebration of the eagerly anticipated ‘Picasso/Dalí, Dalí/Picasso’ exhibition at Museu Picasso 19th March – 28th June.
From 19th March to 28th June 2015, over 80 rarely loaned works by two of the world’s most acclaimed artists, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí, will be presented side by side at the Museu Picasso, Barcelona.
Located just a short stroll from the Museu Picasso is Hotel Arts Barcelona, an iconic luxury hotel that has long-standing reputation for its relationship with art. It was one of the first luxury hotels to introduce a private art collection as part of the interior design, it is also framed by a world-renowned sculpture by Frank Gehry.
The art works on show at the eagerly anticipated ‘Picasso/Dalí, Dalí/Picasso’ exhibition at the Museu Picasso come together from over 20 international art museums and private collections with a focus on paintings, featuring drawings, prints and sculpture.

Taking inspiration from both artists, Frank’s Bar has created an innovative ‘Picasso/Dalí’ cocktail menu to reflect the two artists. The team of mixologists took inspiration from some of Dalí’s favourite foods including watermelons and pomegranates to create the Watermeloska cocktail made from vodka, lemon, watermelon, mint, sugar and soda, and the Salty Dog cocktail created using gin and pomegranate presented in a salted rimmed glass.
The ‘Inspiration’ cocktail was born out of Picasso’s love of the Mediterranean, from the French Provence to the coast of Barcelona. Made using brandy, Lillet, lime and sugar this cocktail conjures up the feeling of a Mediterranean garden with Lillet being the key ingredient made of macerated citrus fruits including the Spanish orange.
The Picasso/Dalí tapas menu suggested to accompany the cocktails includes: Ración de queso Manchego puro de oveja, a classic Spanish cheese , or Gambas fritas con salsa agridulce de mango as Dalí was known to have enjoyed eating fried fish, he also painted fish regularly under different forms.

Located in the city's main port, wholesalers gather at La Lonja, the famous market, to bid for the fresh catch of the day. Although usually inaccessible to the general public, Hotel Arts Barcelona will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of the fish market and attend the daily professional auction accompanied by Executive Chef, Antonio Saez.
The group will witness the fishermen hard at work as they arrive from sea in the late afternoon to deliver the catch before wholesalers auction the lots. The massive hauls include everything from scampi to prawns and monkfish, as well as local species including sea bass, grouper, sole and scorpion fish. In this unique local ambience, guests will be able to choose their favourite fish to be cooked by chef Antonio Saez that evening.
After leaving the animated ambiance of the auction, the group will head back to the hotel’s seafront Arola restaurant where they will be invited to attend a personalised cocktail masterclass hosted by mixologist Diego Baud, while chef Saez prepares a delicious, unique tasting menu in the adjacent kitchen.

Paco Pérez already had his own successful Michelin restaurant Miramar in Llança when he started working with Hotel Arts Barcelona at Enoteca in 2008. Offering a fine cuisine with the freshest Mediterranean products from local suppliers in Catalunya, Enoteca gained the first Michelin star in 2009.

Enoteca is located on the lobby level of the luxury hotel and is situated on the Olympic Port with views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The restaurant features an extensive wine list with over 600 references and innovative, gourmet cuisine made from the highest quality produce brought in freshly each day. An outdoor terrace is open during the summer months.

Arola Catering, led by two Michelin stars Chef Sergi Arola, surprises the bride and groom with a chic cuisine in a pure vintage style. Sergi Arola provides his personal interpretation of the traditional Catalan gastronomy, the famous tapas, but also classics such as Beef Wellington and Marrakech Turbot, an open menu from which to choose a menu tailored to the bride and groom.
Arts Catering, on its side, elaborated menus based on a large selection of Mediterranean dishes, with a focus on quality and exquisite sensibility. Beyond the gastronomy aspect, the design is predominant with ancient vases in carved crystal, antique China porcelain, hanging candelabra, dominance of the golden color and baroque airs in the weddings vintage; while the minimalist décor and color contrast are key in the modern celebrations, which have a lounge area or chill out for the guests. Simplicity is the predominant feature in traditional weddings, while the decoration with rustic accent is surrounded by wood elements, accompanied by simple flowers and natural elements distils a romantic air in the ceremony, typical of celebrations in outdoor environments, surrounded by gardens or nature.
