New Reasons to Taste and Travel to Barcelona

Three new gourmet experiences are opening at Hotel Arts Barcelona.

The most striking hotel in the vibrant Catalan capital, Hotel Arts Barcelona is a gourmet destination for the culinary aficionado. Already playing host to one of the city’s finest restaurants – the two Michelin starred Enoteca Paco Pérez, inspired by its location; the luxury hotel is opening three new gourmet experiences.

The fresh palate begins at the newly reinvented bar – P41 & Coctelarium: the new epicenter of cocktail culture in Barcelona. Owing its name to Barcelona’s latitude coordinates and guided by the talented mixologist Diego Baud – from Barcelona to New York, passing through Rome, Istanbul, the Chinese region of Xinjiang and the Japanese province of Mutsu – classic cocktails and signature drinks have been inspired by the global localities that lie on the very same parallel; allowing visitors to be deliciously transported across the globe with just one sip. Adding artistic flair, the space has been designed by the prestigious GCA Architects with internationally acclaimed Inocuo who have created a striking ceramic mural that adds meaning to the global metaphor.

Designed to enlighten and educate with a speakeasy style, Hotel Arts Barcelona has designed a new lounge bar that divulges a story to captivate guests of cocktail culture. Ideal for private celebrations or corporate entertainment, mixologists in the Coctelarium bar will combine inspiration from an array of destinations and historical moments with the latest trends for interactive workshops, mixology classes, specialised VIP tastings and product launches.

Global flavours will satisfy an international audience at the newly transformed Bites that is located in the heart of the lobby. Supporting small coffee bean farmers, the finest organic coffee brewing and pouring techniques will be showcased in partnership with artisanal coffee company Hidden Café. Priding themselves in handpicking the finest coffee crop with a mission to support the production of coffee from its source all the way to the consumer, Hidden Café directly transport the beans to the country of consumption where the importance shifts towards barista training. With healthy living dishes to complement, Bites will provide light and energy to inspire morning meetings and will pair up with the hotel’s new complimentary garden yoga mornings to offer healthy breakfasts throughout the summer.

Epitomising the contrasts, landscapes and vibrant markets of Catalonia – Hotel Arts Barcelona’s new breakfast space LOKAL will let local colours, flavours and aromas speak for themselves for a celebration of the senses. Homemade pastries will sit alongside a wide selection of local cheeses and cold cut meats as well as a fresh juice and smoothie station, ensuring that LOKAL sets the tone for the day ahead with a new concept to energise guests in a contemporary space with a bold style.
